Farrell Flat is a small rural locality located in the Mid-North region of South Australia. Situated approximately 12 kilometres northeast of the town of Clare, Farrell Flat is part of the Clare Valley wine region, which is renowned for its vineyards and wineries.
This quaint community is characterized by its stunning agricultural landscape, with farming activities such as cropping and livestock grazing playing a significant role in the local economy. Historically, Farrell Flat has roots dating back to the mid-19th century, and its name is believed to have been inspired by a local shepherd named Farrell who once worked in the area. The town boasts several historic buildings, reflecting its heritage and providing a glimpse into its past.
